My local mechanic has been servicing my 06 Trailblazer for the last 3 years. I went to him because he is right around the corner and he has been maintaining all of my vehicles since 1991. But unfortunately he is not able to keep up this vehicle. Sports is a hike for me and it takes half of my date to have the TB serviced there. Mike Temple made me a believer in the Sport's way of taking care of cars. He service my TB with the current computer updates under warranty, found and corrected a major flaw in my mechanics work and fixed me up with a rental car. as far as the oil change for my 08 silverado you did a great job. as far as my 08 truck, like my 04 chevy truck i have had a lot of problems. In 100,000 miles I installed 9 sets of front breaks, 4 front calipers, new front break lines & new caliper mounts, I am on my 4th set of rear breaks that don't wear out they just break apart. After the first $800 break job at 20,000 miles by sport followed by a 2nd 12,000 miles later I had to go elsewhere trying to fix the problem and save money. There are some other problems but no need to talk about them. This is my 5th chevy truck 4 bought at Sport and a used Dodge truck bought at Sport. I am currently looking into getting a new SUV and i have to be honest that i like the Chevy line up I am looking at other brands. I will be getting a new truck soon and after the last 2 trucks I have to try another brand While I have your ear, I brought in my 04 box truck. my normal service manager Keith was out on leave so he had nothing to do with this meeting. We were sent to Melody. I asked for a tune up, flush the injectors, oil change and a trans flush. I was told by Melody that the trans was "Smoked"????? and it would cost $4,800.00 to fix the trans and unless you did the trans you didn't want to do the tune up. The truck had never given us any problems. When we DROVE the truck there we made a delivery on the way. when we picked it up we Drove to a pick up of materials with no problems. we took it to another garage got all the tune up & other work done for much less than Sport's quote for the tune up. I had the trans checked by a trans shop and they found no problems. Sport said per the computer the trans cooling lines were clogged. the trans shop opened the line and found nothing. This has me worried about the work I have had done over the years now. I always talked very highly of Sport & GM now I say nothing.
